Keys & Keycards
Your photo ID (keycard) is your "passport" to all of our space, with a few highly-secured exceptions. Your card gives you access to the workplace 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. In addition, keys are issued for private offices and file cabinets. An email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com will get you any answers to questions on keycards or keys.
On those few occasions when you forget your card at home, you can check out a guest card from your receptionist (floors 9 and 21). Please keep in mind that these guest cards are only for one or two days and should be returned to Reception promptly.
Between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 8 a.m., plus all holidays and weekends, you must swipe your card at the lobby security console, which is located on the north end of our main lobby, before entering our space as well as when you are leaving the building. If you forget your keycard during these off hour periods, see the security guard at the lobby console. There are procedures in place to get you to your office (with proper ID, of course).
Finally, do not allow people you don't know or recognize to follow you into our secured space. We call this "tailgating," and no employee will be offended if you ask to see their photo ID. You might even make a new friend.
